First Nations with Schools Collective
Who We Are
Deshkan Ziibi is part of a collective group of Nations that are focused on improving schooling and lifelong learning for their communities.
This group is called the First Nations with Schools Collective (FNWSC). Each member Nation operates a community school.
The goal of FNWSC is to ensure each Nation is equipped to give students a top-tier, world-class education that will prepare them for success in life and anywhere in the world. Though each nation’s learning system is distinct, we are united in our goal to support our community leaders who are mapping paths to education self-determination.
Nation members of the collective share school success stories, work on important education issues such as curriculum development and advocate for excellent schooling.
